Vietnam holds full-scale rehearsal for National Day parade

HANOI, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam held a full-scale rehearsal on Saturday for the official parade on Sept. 2, which will mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The rehearsal began with a 21-gun salute in the morning, followed by events at Ba Dinh Square and along major streets in the capital. The event featured marching contingents, military vehicles, artillery, weaponry, and foreign military units.

This marks the second time since 1985 that Vietnam has held a large-scale military parade at Ba Dinh Square to celebrate National Day, the report added.
