ADB lowers Vietnam's economic growth forecast to 6.3 pct for 2025

HANOI, July 23 (Xinhua) -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has revised down its forecast for Vietnam's economic growth to 6.3 percent in 2025 and 6.0 percent in 2026, according to its latest report released Wednesday.

Vietnam's economy is expected to remain resilient in 2025 and 2026, although growth may slow in the near term due to tariff pressures, the ADB said.

The bank also projected that inflation in the Southeast Asian country will ease to 3.9 percent in 2025 and 3.8 percent in 2026.
