Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam team up for trilateral disaster response training

VIENTIANE, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Military delegations from Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam convened here to discuss and finalize plans for the 2025 trilateral joint disaster relief exercise.

The joint exercise focused on search, rescue, and humanitarian assistance in response to natural disasters, according to a Lao People's Army News report on Monday.

During the session, the delegations engaged in in-depth discussions on operational procedures, coordination strategies, and logistical arrangements. Key topics covered included cross-border travel facilitation, training schedules, and the deployment of personnel, vehicles, and equipment.

Beyond disaster preparedness, the joint exercise aims to promote solidarity, cooperation, and enduring friendship among the armed forces of the three countries, contributing to regional peace and stability.
