Vietnam's party central committee discusses preparations for national congress

HANOI, July 18 (Xinhua) -- The 13th Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee convened its 12th plenum here on Friday, with a focus on preparations for the upcoming national party congress and key personnel matters, Vietnam News Agency reported.

During the session, participants also discussed institutional obstacles and legal bottlenecks affecting national reform efforts.

The plenum is expected to set out orientations for personnel planning for the 14th party central committee, which is scheduled to take place in January 2026.
