April 30th: 50th Anniversary of the End of the American War in Vietnam

At 1:00 pm we will gather at the memorial that commemorates the 1,741 fallen American soldiers from New York City.
Missing are the names of the millions of Southeast Asian lives lost, displaced, and forever transformed by war.

As an ongoing genocide unfolds in Gaza, we ask: What connects the American War in Vietnam to the struggles of today-for Palestinian freedom, Indigenous sovereignty, Black liberation, climate justice, and a world where life is valued over profit?
What have we learned in the 50 years since this war in Southeast Asia?

The violence of imperialism, militarism, and racism continue to shape our world 50 years after the reunification of Vietnam.
We call all people who share our vision-a vision of liberation and a solidarity that transcends national boundaries, ethnic and racial differences and values and connects all life equally
