Vietnam's fruit, vegetable exports rise 16 pct in first 5 months

HANOI, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports reached 2.67 billion U.S. dollars in the first five months of 2026, up 16 percent year on year, local daily Hanoi Moi reported on Tuesday, citing Vietnam Customs.

China remained the largest market for Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports, accounting for 50 percent of total export value during the period, according to the report.

The United States and South Korea were the second- and third-largest export destinations, with market shares of 8.7 percent and 5.4 percent, respectively.
