India, Vietnam set new trade goal of 25 bln USD by 2030

NEW DELHI, May 6 (Xinhua) -- India and Vietnam on Wednesday signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in various fields, including financial innovation, cross-border digital payments, cultural cooperation, rare earth minerals, oceanography, pharmaceuticals, education, and tourism promotion, to enhance people-to-people linkages.

Besides, a sister-city agreement was also signed between India's Mumbai and Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City.

The MoUs were signed in New Delhi in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and visiting Vietnamese President To Lam, who was here on a three-day state visit concluding on Thursday.

The two sides also resolved to elevate their bilateral ties to an enhanced comprehensive strategic partnership, and set a new trade goal of 25 billion U.S. dollars by 2030.
