BEIJING, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, on Monday congratulated Tran Thanh Man on his re-election as Vietnam's National Assembly chairman.
As friendly socialist neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, China-Vietnam friendly relations have in recent years been deepening and the exchanges and cooperation between the National People's Congress of China and the National Assembly of Vietnam have become increasingly close, Zhao said.
He expressed his readiness to work with his Vietnamese counterpart to follow through on the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two legislatures, serve the construction of socialist rule of law in their respective countries, and make positive efforts to accelerate the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
