Chinese FM sends congratulatory message to Vietnam's new FM

BEIJING, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday sent a congratulatory message to Le Hoai Trung on his assuming office as Vietnam's minister of foreign affairs.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said that this year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges.

Under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries, China-Vietnam relations have maintained sound and stable development, said Wang, adding that both sides are actively implementing the outcomes of the state visit by General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese President Xi Jinping to Vietnam in April and the consensus reached at the recent high-level meetings between the two parties and the two countries, and working together to accelerate the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.

Wang said he is willing to continue to work closely with Le to fully implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries, promote comprehensive strategic cooperation in a coordinated manner, deepen and solidify the building of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future, and make positive contributions to regional peace, stability and development.
