Vietnam targets 145 bln USD in electronics exports by 2025

HANOI, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam aims to reach 145 billion U.S. dollars in electronics exports by the end of 2025, up from 126 billion dollars in 2024, Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday.

In the first eight months of 2025, the export of computers, electronics and components brought in 56.7 billion dollars, making them Vietnam's largest export category, the report said.

However, challenges remain as over 90 percent of leading suppliers are foreign-invested firms, and domestic companies are mainly involved in assembly, highlighting the need for deeper integration into high-value production, the report added.
